Simple Tip for Maximizing Engagement From Your Email Auto-Responder Series [Image]

To be honest i'm a little pissed off at myself for only recently implementing this simple strategy into my own email auto-responder series... Especially since i've been focused on email marketing and building my email subscriber list for over 5 years now.... Anyway better late than never right?

I realized the importance of doing this after I opted into my own capture page last week, and I received one of my own follow up messages on Saturday night... Not good!

My email system, Aweber, and I imagine its the same with other email systems, defaults to sending follow up messages a full 24 hours after they opt-in. (Or 48 hours, or 72 hours, depending on how frequently you tell the system to send your emails).

This means that if someone opts into your email list on a Thursday night at 11pm, they may receive your 2rd AR (auto-responder) message on Friday night at 11pm and your 3rd on Saturday night at 11pm. NOTE: The weekends are the worst times to mail your list by the way. Open rates and engagement rates are at their worst. Ideally you want your messages to go out during the week in either the morning or afternoon.

And since open rates and click through rates are so important for ensuring the future deliverability of your messages, (not to mention for maximizing sales and signup conversions) every little bit counts. Maximizing conversions means focusing on details and this is an important detail.

See the above image to see how I set up all my follow messages in my auto-responder series....

Here's the way I see it. If you are going to spend your valuable time and money getting people to subscribe to your email list, doesn't it make sense to maximize your conversions once you've captured the lead?

I hope this helps!
